Read these helpful FAQs to help you plan for your next trip with Red River Gorge Getaways.
Most of our cabins share the policy shown below, however, a few have stricter policies. If the policy is different than below, you will find it in the listings details.
If cancelling 7 or more days before your check in date, we will refund you in full.
If cancelling 6-2 days before your check in date, we will refund you 50%.
If cancelling 24 hours before your check in date, we will not offer any refund.
Our cancellation policy is also valid for making changes to your reservation dates. If you would like to reschedule your reservation, you must do so outside of this timeline. Rescheduling also must be with the same property and is subject to availability.
Simply email us at hello@rrggetaways.com and provide your name, reservation dates, cabin name and/or confirmation number. We will cancel on your behalf and refund according to our cancellation policy.
If your cabin has a charcoal grill, please supply your own charcoal and lighter fluid. If your cabin has a propane grill, we provide propane and will restock if the tank is almost empty. We do not provide firewood for your stay. However, you can pick up a bundle locally at many gas stations or Daniel Boone Coffee! If a guest has left firewood from their stay, you may also use that, of course.
Please reach out via your booking channel inbox (airbnb/Vrbo), or the number that texts you information about your stay.
That would be Kroger: 179 W College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380
Most of our guests pass through Stanton on their way to the RRG. We highly recommend grabbing stopping here for anything you need before getting to your cabin, there's not too many other grocery options in the area!
Early check ins or late check outs can sometimes be accommodated but needs prior approval from our head of housekeeping. We send out automated messages three days prior to arrival with a link. You MUST use this link in order to put in your requests. Once we receive your request, we will either approve or deny it based on our housekeeping schedule.
Early check ins are $55 and allow you to enter the cabin anytime after 2 pm. Late check outs are $55 and allow you to check out before 12 pm.
Any guest that remains at the cabin past 11 am without prior approval will get charged a $100 late check out fee.
Currently we cannot have items shipped to the properties.
For your own security, we do not take payment or reservations over the phone. Our system holds your credit card information for payment, however, no one on the back end can see or access this information which keeps your private information safe.
Yes, our calendars are up to date up to the very second you look, if a date is showing as unavailable, then it is indeed, unavailable.
We will clearly state whether pets are allowed on the cabin listing. You can find this information under the 'Other Things To Note' section or under the Amenities list.
Our pet fee is currently $30 per stay at all of our pet friendly cabins. This fee covers 2 pets. If booking through Airbnb, please adjust your guest count to include your pet, this will automatically adjust the price. For VRBO and direct bookings, please let us know you intend to bring a pet so we can adjust your price. Thank you!
While we love pets, we are very strict on our no pet policy for non-pet friendly cabins.
We currently do not have any rules preventing owners from bringing their dogs based on breed or size. We do, however, have a 2 dog limit. After this, we do charge $11 per pet per stay (max 3 dogs total). This can be requested with a link sent to your phone three days before arrival.
Anyone caught bringing their animals to a non-pet friendly cabin will incur fees for breaking the house rules.
At this time, we do not have a waitlist nor a way to track all our properties on this. Your best bet is to bookmark the listing and check back every so often.
We're sorry but none of our properties allow camping on the property at this time.
Directions to your cabin are automatically sent sent to you when you book, in your guide, and your door code will be sent the day of arrival. Once in an email and once as a text reminder. If you booked directly, ensure you dig through your spam and junk folders in your email. If you booked on another platform, your information will be in your trip information as well as your inbox. If you find none of this to be true and you check in tomorrow, please reach out to us via your booking platform.
We provide two per guest. If you find this unsuitable for your needs, we kindly request you bring some extra.
We provide fully dressed beds and pillows. If you're a person that gets cold easily, its always best to be over prepared and bring extra blankets for colder months.
Our kitchens are ever changing, thus, we do not have a full inventory for each of them. You can always count on the basics for cooking, such as, bowls, plater, forks, knives, etc. Anything specific you may need including spices, oils and other perishables, we highly recommend bringing. Additionally, we will supply 2-5 trash bags depending on cabin size, one roll of paper towels, dish soap and 3 dishwasher pods per reservation. If this is unsuitable for your needs, we kindly request you bring extra supplies.
Unfortunately, any outdoor water source is not open for guest use.
Our cabins are either on city water or well water. Both are safe to drink, and we take great care to change water filters often. However, some people prefer not to drink either of these sources, in that case, you would need to provide your own drinking water.
We don't provide any perishables, please supply your own.
Many of our cabins function as vacation rentals for you to enjoy, and therefore, do not have physical addresses. Please ensure to always use google maps when using any addresses or pins provided, Apple Maps or other applications will surely get you lost. We do our best to give very detailed directions for you to reference.
All of our cabins are self check-in. This means, you can come and go at any time after 4pm the day of arrival, no need to check in anywhere.
We take great care to provide an abundant amount of information for your stay in the listings, including if 4WD is required or even just recommended. If your listing does not state either of the two, this means you can access the cabin with any type of automobile.
